Rahmaan Phillip

Rahmann moved to Las Vegas when he was 8 and started playing the viola two years later. Now at age 28 Rahmann plays an equal amount of violin and is one of Las Vegas’s rapidly growing musicians. Growing in popularity Rahmann has started recording his first solo album that is due to release later this year. The album will feature some original compositions along with some pieces written by Johann Sebastian Bach.
When Rahmann came to the studio for his session he played while I photographed. The studio was alive in a way that I can’t describe. This musician not only has a lot of talent but heart that comes out when he plays. That element that makes a musician an artist. Something beyond technical skill although there is plenty of that as well. The energy of the room shifts and creates a space of peace and tranquility. A space you don’t want to leave with songs you never want to end. I’m attaching a link to a short video of Rahmann playing. If you would like to hear Rahmaan play live, visit him at Makers and Finders cafe in Downtown Summerlin. He is there every Friday from 12-2. Or contact me for more info
